LifeLink was founded in 1992 by David Blanco to bring cutting-edge biologics to people with life-threatening diseases (LTDs). Among these compounds were several attention-getters, such as the TAT inhibitor, phthalimidoglutarimide, and DHEA. (See articles in the Los Angeles Daily News, June 5, 1994; Wall Street Journal, June 2, 1995; The Bergen Record, December 28, 1995; and Newsweek, September 16, 1996.)

Many biologics being used for LTDs were also of interest to people who wanted access to the latest dietary supplement technology to improve their immune systems, retard aging, and attain optimal health. LifeLink’s understanding of legal, legislative and scientific issues has put us at the forefront of the nutritional supplement industry.

LifeLink’s role in the dietary supplement industry has been enhanced by our being the first company to introduce products such as 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), DHEA, Pregnenolone, and Methylcobalamin. We provide advanced supplements, factual no-nonsense information, good prices and great service. We sell directly to end-users through mail order and to health food stores and health-care professionals. Our web page enables our products to reach domestic and foreign buyers via e-commerce — an important asset for a company that is mentioned as a source in many health-related books published in several languages.

Troy Dickerson joined LifeLink in 1996 as sales manager and board officer. In 1992 he worked for Pacific Biologics of Berkeley, California, then spent four years as assistant editor for a newsletter called Smart Life News (writing under the name T. Michael Hardy) while working as a consultant to LifeLink. Smart Life News published monthly on health-related topics and was considered by many to be the best such publication available at the time.
